TAMPAN DENIES ABANDONING ‘BABA SUWE’ TO SICK BED
The Theatre Arts and Motions Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has denied abandoning one of its members, veteran actor, Babatunde Omidina in the hospital.
The renowned comedian, popularly known as ‘Baba Suwe’, is currently battling an undisclosed illness according to those in the know.

Speaking with reporters on Monday, in Abeokuta, the National President of the association, Bolaji Amusan said the report was concocted and sponsored by mischief-makers to discredit TAMPAN.
Amusan, popularly known as ‘Mr Latin’, said the association has been taking care of the veteran actor’s medical bills since 2017, under the administration of the immediate past president, Dele Odule.
He said:
“I have just instructed the Lagos executive of the association to check on him to ascertain his health progress.”
“I can tell you that we have not abandoned Baba Suwe, as well as any of our members, as being speculated in some quarters by mischief-makers.”
Amusan also added that they have designed a new policy to help members of the association.

Sources close to the 51-year-old actor had earlier revealed that Baba Suwe has been battling with chronic diabetes.
The state of his health has reportedly deteriorated after he was confirmed to be battling the ailment in 2018.
The actor BlackBox Nigeria further gathered now walks with the aide of a stick.
The actor had earlier denied reports that he was having financial challenges when one of his colleagues, Yomi Fabiyi, raised an alarm on his inability to raise funds to treat himself.
