Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Babajimi Adegoke Benson has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing the importance of taking advantage of available opportunities such as student loans.
Benson disclosed this in a recent town hall meeting at the constituency office, he underscored the need for proactive engagement in government programs aimed at socioeconomic empowerment. He highlighted the low number of applicants for student loans in Ikorodu, urging constituents to apply and benefit from the initiative.
“President Bola Tinubu’s administration presents various opportunities for our development. We must take advantage of initiatives like the student loan scheme to enhance educational pursuits and ease parents’ responsibilities,” Benson stated.
In addition, he also emphasized initiatives such as consumer credit installment payment and advocated for local government financial autonomy to streamline fund allocations from the federal government.
Known for his efforts of empowering his constituents, he also aims to empower them with the distribution of motorcycles, tricycles, and other equipment to foster local enterprise “We plan to
empower many more people between now and November through the distribution of motorcycles, tricycles, and other equipment.” he stated
Benson also highlighted his administration’s achievements in road construction, having completed over 50 roads in Ikorodu with more under construction. “By the end of this year, we aim to increase this number to 70,” he said.
In attendance at the meeting was Honourable Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba, Chairman of the Ijede Local Government Development area, who commended Benson’s efforts in advancing infrastructure development, particularly citing the upcoming construction of a 4.5km road linking Ijede with Abowo.
