Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives for Ikorodu Federal Constituency, continues to gather admiration and support from his constituents, who have started to see him not just as a political figure but as a transformative leader.

During the Third Quarter Town Hall Meeting held on August 10, 2024, at his Constituency Office on Igbogbo Road, one of the attendees, Akinola Oni, an executive from Igbogbo-Bayeiku Local Council Development Area C4, voiced a sentiment that resonated deeply with the audience.

Oni, expressing his appreciation for the numerous developmental projects initiated by Rep. Benson, remarked, “I benefited from politics, and I appreciate him for his support and continued efforts to develop our community. On the road, Oreta Okeota, I’ll begin to call you the ‘Transformer of Nigeria’ from Ikorodu, not the Julius Berger of Ikorodu anymore.”

Oni’s statement encapsulated the growing perception of Benson as more than just a representative focused on road construction, but as a leader driving wide-ranging transformation across Ikorodu. His initiatives have touched various aspects of life in the constituency, from infrastructure to human development, earning him this new title that reflects his broader impact.

The town hall meeting, attended by key stakeholders from across Ikorodu Division, provided a platform for Rep. Benson to share updates on ongoing projects and upcoming initiatives. He expressed gratitude to the people of Ikorodu for their unwavering support, which he credited as the driving force behind the successes achieved so far.

Rep. Benson highlighted several road projects, including the much-anticipated Abule Eko to Eruowa road construction, set to be flagged off soon. He reassured the community that more empowerment programs are on the way, aiming to improve the well-being of every resident in the division.

Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Chairman of Ijede LCDA, and Bldr. Sesan Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, also praised Benson for his consistent engagement and commitment to solving the challenges facing the community. Both leaders noted that his accessibility and humility have endeared him to the people, making him a model for leadership in the region.

As the event progressed, other community leaders echoed the appreciation for Rep. Benson’s efforts, particularly in road infrastructure, while also calling for the completion of ongoing projects like the Igbogbo Baiyeku Road, Isawo Road, and Igbe to Ginti Road.

The meeting underscored the deepening relationship between Rep. Benson and the people of Ikorodu, as his role evolves from that of a local representative to a transformative leader whose impact is felt far beyond the constituency.
