For Supporting Adeleke Against Apc Candidate, Osun Broadcasting Corporation Suspends Two Staff

Kunle Makanjuola and Gbadebo Adepoju both staff of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation have been indefinitely suspended for not supporting the candidate of the ruling APC during last weekend’s Senatorial bye-election in Osun West district.

According to reports obtained by BlackBox Nigeria, the affected persons were suspended for openly declaring their Support against the government in a WhatsApp group they belonged to.

Gbadebo Adepoju, a deputy director in the marketing department of the corporation reportedly called out Governor Aregbesola over late payment of salaries despite the fact that only half payment was being made.

He wrote, “Drama in Osun State as state government,  under the leadership of Rauf Aregbesola, begins the payment of June salaries at exactly 1am on Osun West Senatorial by-election day.

“Local government and state civil servants from Osun West Senatorial District, please don’t be deceived by the alerts, the alert is your entitlement and not a gift. You worked for it, even though you deserve more. Don’t because you get your half salaries, unexpectedly behind the usual schedule, give your votes to the APC. They are full of deceit. Vote for liberation, vote Ademola Adeleke, vote PDP.

It has been revealed that loyalists of the government showed the group chats to some powerful people who effected the suspension of the effected duo.

The Osun West Senatorial bye-election saw the APC candidate, Senator Mudashir Hussein losing to Ademola Adeleke of the PDP leaving Governor Aregbesola’s ego badly brusied ahead of next year’s guber polls.
