Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen receives Globe Soccer Award
Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen has been presented with the prestigious Globe Soccer Award as the ‘Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year’.
The Napoli striker was announced the winner of the prize last November, but was unable to receive his trophy in person in Dubai.
The 24-year-old was recognised with the award, following his incredible displays for Napoli in the Italian Serie A in 2022.
He beat the likes of Jude Bellingham, Rafael Leão, and Federico Valverde to the award.
On Wednesday, Globe Soccer and PowerHorse decided to hold an awarding ceremony in Naples, Osimhen’s current hometown.
The Super Eagles forward was presented with his trophy by Power Horse CEO, Salvatore Caizzone who was joined by Cristiano Giuintoli, Napoli’s Sporting Director, and Enrico Bendoni of Globe Soccer.
The player who was delighted to finally receive the award wrote on his verified Twitter account:
