Senator Tokunbo Abiru Mourns with K1 De Ultimate Over Mother’s Passing

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), on the loss of his mother, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 105.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Enitan Olukotun, Senator Abiru described the death of Alhaja Anifowoshe as a significant loss, not just to her family but to the community she served with unwavering dedication.

“The loss of a mother is an irreplaceable void,” the statement read. “On behalf of my family and the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I extend my deepest condolences to Nigeria’s music icon and cultural ambassador, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, on the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe.”

Reflecting on her life, Senator Abiru highlighted the matriarch’s legacy of grace, love, and selflessness, which positively impacted her family and community. He commended K1 De Ultimate for his evident devotion to his mother during her lifetime.

“Your immeasurable love and care for your mother were evident to all. Her transition is undoubtedly a deeply emotional moment, but I urge you to take solace in the remarkable life she lived and the values she instilled in you,” Abiru said.

He prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the departed soul, asking that she be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus and that her family be granted the strength to bear the loss.

Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe’s passing marks the end of an era, and her legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.

King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, fondly known as K1 De Ultimate, is a celebrated figure in Nigerian music and culture, renowned for his contributions to the Fuji music genre. The loss of his mother has elicited an outpouring of condolences from dignitaries and fans alike.

The late Alhaja Anifowoshe is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced soon.
