By Senator Emmanuel Nnamdi Uba, popularly called Andy Uba of the People’s Democratic Party today formally decamps to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
His announcement was made during the plenary session in the floor of the Nigerian Senate.
Senator Uba represents the Anambra South Constituency of Anambra State. He was first elected into office in 2011 and got re-elected in 2015 via the PDP.
Before his election into the Senate, Uba was formerly elected as the Governor of Anambra State during the April 2007 elections, until former Governor, Peter Obi challenged his (Uba) victory in Court and won.
Earlier in February 2017, it was disclosed that Senator Andy Uba was concluding plans to decamp to the APC, a development he had since not declined.
