By Following up on his campaign promise to create an innovation hub, the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Tokunbo Abiru is partnering with Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB) an innovation & enterprise company, with speciality in combining technology & social capital in accelerating economic prosperity, to set up a Community Innovation Space for young people in Lagos East Senatorial District.
The project is designed to be a tech and incubation ground for young people living within the Lagos East Senatorial District will focus on Four categories of people, namely; Teachers, Students, Artisans and Startups.
Lagos East Teachers’ Fellowship is a programme aimed at equipping Educators with new skills that would lead to better learning outcomes. #STEM Education for Senior Secondary School Students is a programme designed to introduce students to the concept of physical computing through the use of Arduino. For the uninitiated, Arduino is an open-source electronic prototyping platform enabling users to create interactive electronic devices based on a microcontroller and standard peripherals, such as alphanumeric displays, graphic displays, LED, LCDs with or without buttons, sensors, transmission modules, motors and solenoid valve drivers and many, many more. #Tech Talent Development is a programme aimed at identifying young people who are interested in a career in technology. Selected candidates will be taken through a learning plan that will transform them from complete novice to entry level software engineers.
