By The Muslim Community in Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, has honoured the senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru, with the Islamic chieftancy title of the Ekerin Adinni of Ikorodu Central Mosque.
Abiru, who was at the mosque to observe the Friday Juma’at prayer, was dressed with a special turban by the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, Sheikh Seifudeen Jamiu Ademoritan Olowooribi.
Olowooribi noted the lawmaker has performed wonderfully since he assumed office, adding that Abiru has distinguished himself as a true son of the soil who has not forgotten his origin.
While expressing his gratitude for the honour, Abiru reiterated his commitment to good representation, saying he has already begun to give back to the society and will not stop the narrative in the 98 wards under his jurisdiction.
