Senator Abiru Appeals To Constituents To Make Best Use of 6% Lagos East Revolving Loan

 

The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru,  FCA, has appealed to constituents that would be benefiting from his N300 Million Constituency Intervention Revolving Loan for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to make the best use of it and keep up with the repayment plan for more people to benefit.

Abiru made this known in Lagos on Thursday at the official launching of the N300 Million Lagos East Constituency Revolving Loan of 6% per annum interest rate for MSME held at the Funplex Event Centre, CMD Road, Magodo Lagos.

 

In his remark at the event, Senator said he initiated the loan scheme to bring succour to numerous small businesses in the senatorial district. He stated further that the loan scheme would go a long way in reducing unemployment and eradicating poverty, saying that its outcomes were critical in ensuring economic progress, social harmony and social stability.

“Target beneficiaries are micro and small businesses in the district and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Applicants must provide a recent tax clearance certificate, LASRRA ID, Bank Accoung Details, BVN, NIN, evidence of training with a recognised enterprise development centre, ATM card (Valid for the next 12 months).

 

“Already we have over 1,000 applicants and my appeal to our constituents is to judiciously make use of this fund and ensure prompt and credible repayment of the amount borrowed so that others can benefit. Our hope and belief is that the judicious use will encourage our partners to make even more contributions in order to grow the fund for the benefit of a greater number of our constituents,”Senator Abiru said

The event had in attendance, the Governor of Lagos State ably represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Governor ably represented by Mrs Adebowale Aderemi, members of GAC, Chairman of the occasion Hon Wale Edun, the Managing Director Bank of Industry Mr Olukayode Pitan, the Director General of SMEDAN, Mr. Olawale Fasanya, Alara of Ilara, Onikosi of Ikosi and other royal fathers, Dr Muda Yusuf, Otunba Dr. Saheed Ibikunle, Deji Abisola, Members of Lagos Conference 57, APC Lagos East Senatorial District Vice Chairman, Hon Mrs Oladunjoye, The State Youth Leader Dr Seriki Muritala, and several others.
