Senate Reveals 19 New Ministerial Nominees, Including Former Kano Deputy Gov, Abdullahi Gwarzo, Matawalle, Bagudu and Others

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has unveiled a second batch of ministerial nominees, presented by President Bola Tinubu, comprising 19 individuals. 

Among the notable names are former Kano Deputy Governor, Abdullahi Gwarzo, and former Governors Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Bello Matawalle (Zamfara), and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi). 

The supplementary list also includes other nominees like Bosun Tijani, Maryam Shetty, Isiak Salako, Tunji Alausa, Yusuf Sununu, Ibrahim Geidam, Lola John, Shuaibu Audu, Tahir Mamman, Aliyu Abdullahi, Alkali Saidu, Heineken Lokpobori, Maigari Ahmadu, and Zaphaniah Jisalo.

This new disclosure follows the earlier submission of a ministerial list by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, bringing the total number of nominees presented to the Senate to 47. 

The red chamber is now tasked with scrutinizing and confirming these individuals for their respective ministerial positions.
