By No fewer than 600 exceptional tertiary institution students in the Lagos East Senatorial District will benefit from the 2021 Tokunbo Abiru Foundation Bursary Scheme.
The scheme is an initiative of Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, representing Lagos East District in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
As part of the lawmaker’s Education Endowment, it is targeted at brilliant, studious but indigent indigenes in the 16 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas of the Lagos East District.
Launched in April, the annual bursary is expected to serve as a support to students in furtherance of their academic pursuit.
The sum of N50,000 will be given to each of the 600 beneficiaries at an award ceremony slated for Thursday, 14th October, 2021 at LASPOTECH, Ikorodu Lagos (School of Agriculture 500 Seater Auditorium).
