Scooter rider arrested with pistol and live ammunition in Lagos
A scooter driver was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for possession of guns.
According to a statement issued on November 2, 2022, by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, he said that the suspect was apprehended by Adeniji Adele Division patrol officers on Tuesday.
According to the PPRO, during an intensive check of the suspect’s handbag, a locally synthetic semi-automatic weapon and a spherical of live ammo were seized.
“Yesterday at approximately 00:50, Adeniji Adele Division patrol officers observed a lone rider on an unregistered scooter at the Glover intersection. Upon examining his handbag, a locally manufactured semiautomatic pistol and a live round of ammo were discovered.
The suspect has been transferred to the Police Headquarters in Ikeja for further investigation “he stated.
