In an effort to address crime among street-connected children and youth in Ikorodu, Lagos, School In The Street, Ikorodu centre has launched a pioneering Crime Prevention and Youth Empowerment project with key support from TAG International and Brighter Futures, alongside Cleen Foundation.
Under the banner of “Preventing Serious and Organised Crime Among Street-connected Children and Youths in Ikorodu, Lagos,” the initiative, running throughout March 2024, aims to empower street-connected individuals to steer clear of criminal activities, including cybercrime.
Utilizing a comprehensive approach encompassing mentorship, counselling, educational sessions, skill acquisition workshops, and recreational activities, the project endeavors to foster positive development and equip participants with the tools they need to build a brighter future.
