By Sanwo-Olu takes oath of office, sworn-in as 6th Lagos Governor as he makes first appointment
Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has been sworn-in as the 6th civilian Governor of Lagos state. This also makes him the 15th chief executive of the Nigeria’s most populous nation.

Sanwo-Olu took his oath of office moments ago alongside his incoming deputy, Dr Femi Hamzat as they were surrounded by family and associates.
Earlier on, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the appointment of Mr Tayo Ayinde, the erstwhile Director General of the now disbanded Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Group as his new Chief of Staff.
Tayo Ayinde, a former SSS (now DSS) operative was once the Chief Security Detail to the National Leader of the ruling APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his time as Lagos Governor.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu is also expected to announce the appointment of the Secretary to the State Government soon.
