By The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Monday, appointed Ibrahim Odumboni as acting Managing Director, Lagos Waste Management Authority, Blackboxnigeria gathered.
The erstwhile Director, LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, was suspended by governor Sanwo-Olu as a necessary measure to address the alleged conflict between Dr. Muyiwa and Tunji Bello, the commissioner for environment.
Dr. Muyiwa’s suspension was also propelled by other separate issues leveled against him by stakeholders in the waste sector.
The governor, after giving Ibrahim odumboni the directive to resume office as acting managing director of LAWMA, stated that he will be operating on the basis of a three-month probation, necessary to determine his capabilities as well as avoid the similar scenarios as that of the erstwhile MD.
