The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has confirmed the reapppointment of Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan as the Director-General of the Lagos State Sports Commission.
It would be recalled that Bolowotan had stepped down from his position in line with the governor’s directive urging all political office holders wishing to contest elective offices to resign.
He, however, lost his bid to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat in Ikorodu Constituency I, after losing at the primaries held in May.
Bolowotan, a celebrated sports administrator during his earlier tenure as Director General, has been described as the most successful head of the commission since it was instituted.
His reapppointment as the Lagos State Sports Commission boss will be officially announced in a statement.
