Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat visit Lagos Island building collapse site, hospital

SANWO-OLU, HAMZAT VISIT LAGOS ISLAND BUILDING COLLAPSE SITE, HOSPITAL

 

BlackBox Nigeria reports that the governor elect of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has joined a host of sympathizers to visit the site of the infamous building collapse that threw Lagosians and indeed the country into mourning yesterday as it claimed several lives.

Sanwo-Olu who visited alongside his deputy, Femi Hamzat, not just the site of the collapse in Itafaji area of the Island division of the state but Gbagada General hospital where the victims are currently recuperating.

He expressed that his thoughts and prayers remained with the members of the community.

 

The governor elect also promised to ensure that the re-occurrence of such incident will be forestalled in the state.

 

Lagos School Collapse Update: Several Casualties Recorded

Sanwo-Olu who took to Twitter moments ago after his visit via his official page @jidesanwoolu, further expressed satisfaction on how the government of the day is attending to the emergency, saying “they are doing all they can to aid and resolve all issues arising.”

“As a Father, my thoughts and prayers are with the parents and members of the community, but beyond this, we need to put factors in place to ensure that we avoid such occurences and I will be committed to doing this.

 

”I visited the site of the collapsed building at Itafaji and the general hospital where those affected are receiving treatment. The community, rescue workers, health personel and the State government are doing all they can to aid and resolve all issues arising.”
