Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Bakare Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager (GM) of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority with immediate effect.
The Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, Jibril Gawat confirmed the appointment in a post on X on Friday.
According to Gawat, the new LASTMA boss is a Lagos Island native who has been a civil servant since 2000.
Olalekan was recently a Deputy Director, Grade Level 16, and Director of the Logistics & Engineering Department at LASTMA.
He holds a Master’s degree in Transport Management/Planning from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s Degree in History and International Studies from the Lagos State University.
