Saglev, an American electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially started assembling electric cars at its state-of-the-art assembly plant in Ikorodu, Lagos.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in the company’s mission to provide sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions in Nigeria.
According to Saglev’s CEO, Sam Faleye, the electric vehicles can cover an impressive 300km on a single charge, equivalent to driving from Oshodi to Ajah in Lagos 10 times.
Faleye also highlighted the convenience of charging these vehicles, which only requires once or twice a week, with a full charge taking approximately four hours using a level two charger.
The assembly plant in Ikorodu is equipped with modern facilities and technology, ensuring the production of high-quality electric vehicles that meet international standards.
The Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, shared a video of the assembly plant on Thursday, June 27, showcasing the company’s progress.
The caption reads, “It is great to see #saglev has commenced the production of electric cars at its state-of-the-art assembly plant in Ikorodu, Lagos.”
