Reports Claim President Buhari Is Dead As Presidency Denies Rumor

The office of the Nigerian President has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead.

This is following reports from the United Kingdom that the 74-year old Buhari has Died days after leaving the Country in vacation.

The news which was broken by Metro Uk claimed Buhari died earlier today while some other mediums suggest that he might have died in Germany.

In a swift reaction, the presidential spokeman, Mallam Garba Shehu has refuted the report saying the President is alive and doing fine in the UK.

“He is alive and well! President Buhari is not magical. He cannot be holidaying in the UK and be in Germany, dead or alive at the same time,” Garba tweeted moments ago.

He however distastefully added “He is unlike a past President who was at Ota, with Chief Obasanjo and attending the Trump inauguration in D.C, being in two places at the same time!”

This has been perceived as a jab at former President, Goodluck Jonathan who was recently rumoured to have been invited the inauguration of new US President, Donald Trump which turned out to be false.

It appears Mallam Shehu might have however gotten himself in trouble as the almighty Nigeria twitter users have descended on him for the tweet even as fears over Buhari’s health becomes a huge concern.
