By Youths across Ikorodu division have concluded plans to host their representative at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Rep. Babajimi Benson as he clocks the golden age of 50.
Speaking about the plans recently, the convener of JB @ 50, Billiamin Olalekan Oba disclosed that young people in the division have come together to celebrate JB whom he described as a pacesetter and outstanding Leader for his amiable achievements since being elected by the good people of Ikorodu.
Oba, who is also the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), disclosed that Ikorodu youths are partnering with all major stakeholders especially the 30 elected councilors, the six LGA and LCDA chairmen as well as other youth based organizations to see that Rep. Jimi Benson is well celebrated.
“Over the years, Rep Babajimi Benson has dedicated himself to a life of service and has gone out of his way to continually perform outstandingly. It is only fair on our part to also celebrate him as he clocks 50”, Oba disclosed to the media.
He further stated that dignitaries from across the country and especially Lagos state will be invited to observe first hand as the youths celebrate the man of honour.
Speaking on the one-in-town celebration of people’s rep @50, Chairman Publicity Committee, Kayode Badmus revealed that events lined up for the JB@50 include a colloquium, dinner amongst other activities to be announced by the Central Working Committee which has been put in place.
The Central Working Committee include young people from across the division who also share in the idea of giving JB a worthy birthday celebration. They include Barrister Hamzat Jimoh who heads the fundraising sub-committee, Comrade Ajibike who is in charge of Welfare, Tayo Odusanya, Olubode Mac Oserinde amongst others.
The special birthday anniversary for JB according to JB@50 Publicity Committee Chairman, promises to be epochal.
