The Korean smash hit series, ‘Squid Game’ is reportedly set to launch in Nigeria with a mouth-watering grand prize.

The organisers made the announcement on Twitter via a new page @SquidGame9ja created for the sole purpose of giving updates on the date of commencement as well as terms and conditions of participation.

The original ‘Squid Game’ on Netflix follows the story of chronic debtors who are invited to play a series of children’s games to win a jackpot cash prize. However, losers do not get a chance to live as they are killed off.

In the Nigerian version, there will be six games to be played and the overall winner is expected to go home with N5million.

All players who lose a round, fail to qualify or refuse to continue playing will be eliminated immediately.  Eliminated players are to be shot down by the pink soldiers and carried out of the Arena.

The pink soldiers will be equipped with only paint ball guns and water guns containing soft red paint ball bullets and red coloured water respectively.

The organisers, in a tweet, said 3 of the games will be reenactment of the ones played in the series while 3 others will be new games.

”Do you have what it takes to win SquidGame? Can you guess which 3 original games from the show we could be playing? Win all 6 games and win N5,000,000,” the tweet read.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the games. Here are some of their reactions:
