The UK former Prime Minister, Liz Truss has taken to her social media handle to congratulate the newly elected Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.
Following Liz Truss’ resignation as the Prime Minister of UK on Thursday, October 20, Rishi Sunak was yesterday appointed as the new Prime Minister.
While congratulating Sunak on Twitter, Liz Truss said, “Congratulations @RishiSunak on being appointed as Leader of the Conservative Party and our next Prime Minister.
You have my full support.”
Rishi Sunak was appointed after winning the race to lead the Conservative Party on Monday, October 24, 2022.
While sharing their thoughts on Twitter, a lot of users have replied to Liz Truss congratulatory message, celebrating with the newly appointed Minister.
In his comment, a twitter user with the name, Yatharth The India said “Congratulations.. This is the spirit needed to move on together.. We are sure, He will prove to be a better one and serve the people of the UK as ex of him.. Being Indian we all are excited and hopeful for a new era of friendship.. Happy Diwali”
Also, a user with the name Regina Almeida noted, “Sunak didn’t support You Liz. We supported and voted for You and Boris. They’ made your life as a PM as hell. He doesn’t have the country’s support only from his MP’s. We will see on the next Generation Election”
While a user with Dr Yusuf Datti Baba- Ahmed said that Liz Truss can now edit his bio, Jack Bailey noted that he wasn’t elected by the public and not by the members of Liz Truss.
