The Spanish team has wreaked complete havoc on the Costa Rica national team in the ongoing 2022 World Cup fixture.

After the German team lost to their Japanese opponent earlier today, the Group E fixture was concluded for the first round, as the Spanish team in what looks like an unending pain, meted out suffering to their opponent, Costa Rica, as they went on a scoring spree.

The opening goal was scored by Olmo in the 11th minute with Asensio doubling the lead in the 21st minute. Ferran Torres puts the winning team at a vantage position before halftime after finding the back of the net with his 31st-minute penalty kick from the 18-yard box.

Ferran Torres scored his second goal 9 minutes into the second half of play. And Gavi, Carlos Soler, and Alvaro Morata sealed the win for the Spanish team after they all found the back of the net.

18-year-old Spanish youngster, Gavi etched his name in the book of World cup record following his goal, as the third youngest goal-scorer in the tournament history after Brazil legend, Pele and Manuel Rosas.

Also, this is the first time the 2010 World Cup champions will score 7 goals in a match in the FIFA World Cup.
