Prince Lanre Sanusi mourns ex-Lagos lawmaker, Adeyeye

Prince Lanre Sanusi, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Lagos State, has expressed shock over the demise of a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (Mrs) Risikat Adegeye.

BlackBox Nigeria had reported that Adegeye who was also the wife of music legend, King Sunny Ade, breathed her last on Tuesday morning.

In a statement personally signed by him, Sanusi described the late lawmaker as “a strong party woman”.

He added that Adegeye contributed her quota immensely to the progressive course in Lagos State, while sending his condolences to her family.

The statement reads, “It is with rude shock and painful disbelief that I woke up this morning to read about the exit to the great beyond one of Our strong party woman Hon. Risikat Adegeye.

“My condolences go to her immediate family, our constituency in Amowo Odofin, our party, APC Lagos state, and indeed all her admirers. She has contributed her quota so immensely to the progressive course in Lagos state and left an indelible mark on the sand of time.

“May Almighty Allah grant her aljanah fidaus and give her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amin.”
