Prince Gas Cup: Goalkeeper Rahmon Kehinde The Hero As Ghetto Light FC Zooms Into Cup Final

Ghetto Light FC of Mushin defeated Dynamous FA of Ejigbo 4 – 2 on a sunny Tuesday afternoon in Igando to book a place in the final of the Prince Gas Cup in their debut season.

The ghetto ballers of Mushin started the game on a bright note notching up series of chances of there own but wide man Rahmon Basit squandered most of the chances.

Dynamous FA of Ejigbo also had chances of there own but the boy in goal for Ghetto Light FC was on hand to diffuse all the attacks.

Many observer felt the game had been won with few minutes left in the game when A Dynamous defender hacked down Centre forward Abolomope Hammed in the box 18.

The centre referee duly awarded a penalty but the crowd was left dumbfounded as captain Ajenipa Daniel sent the resulting penalty off target.

The match ended in a stalemate and for the 3rd time in the knockout stages Ghetto Light FC had to go in for the penalty lotteries.

Defender Owooniran Quadri stepped up as always for the first kick and again the outcome was the same.

Goalkeeper Rahmon Kehinde began to steal the show from the second kick. Saving two in quick succession and setting his team nicely posed for victory.

As he did in the round of 16, left back Adisa Mubarak kept his calm and converted his final kick as Ghetto Light stole the final ticket from the noses of Dynamous FA of Ejigbo in Igando.

The team will now take on the winner of the semi final clash between Living Legend and Sharp Strikers on Sunday at the palace field in Igando.

The club has now played 30 matches since the relaxation of the ban contact sports racking up 15 wins, 7 draws and 8 losses in the process.
