By Captain Ajenipa Daniel scored an audacious long range free kick as Ghetto Light FC’s under 15 side avenged their free age class by landing a soccer blow on FC Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon in Mushin.
The pride of Apapa Iganmu defeated the free age category of Ghetto Light FC in the same competition last month by the same goal margin.
Before the game busted into life wide man Rahman Basit threw away a host of chances that should have put the team in front in the early stages of the game.
The game finally experience it’s first goal when Captain Ajenipa Daniel led by example to fire home an audacious long range free kick that sat into the back of the net in the 10th minute.
Series of chances came begging but none was converted. A solitary strike was what separated both sides at the end of the game.
The Ghetto ballers will now take on Basitoy FC on the same ground by 5pm on Thursday with the battle for first place firmly up for grabs on the evening.
The club has now played 21 matches since the relaxation of the ban contact sports racking up 10 wins, 5 draws and 6 losses in the process.
