Prevent TB With Strong Immune System In 2019 -Asoro

The Convener of Tuberculosis and Other Communicable disease Asoro Abubakri Olatunji has urged Nigerians to work on their immune system as a way of preventing Tuberculosis. Asoro made this known during his New Year message.

R-L Hon Sedan Dada (Vice Chairman Ikorodu West) Convener (Asoro Abubakri) Dr Hussein Rasak (Representative of Comm of Health and Director TB Department Lagos State Ministry of Health) at TB Talk 1.0 last year

“Its unholy alliance with the air has made it nearly impossible for any human being living to escape its cruel hand of friendship. Since a strong immune system is a nightmare to this disease, it is pertinent for both patients and non-patients to cultivate the habit of consumption of vegetables and fruits and every other immune system building food to build their guard against tuberculosis.”

He described tuberculosis as ” negotiaton between life and death”.

“Since it was discovered by Robert Koch, a German physician and scientist in March 24, 1882, the disease kills not less than 4500 people every day and transmits through air”.

“History was made last year when we organised an awareness campaign tagged TB Talk 1.0;UniteToEndTB at Ikorodu West LCDA, Our TB talk 2.0 is also in the pipeline for 2019”. He recounted.

In the spirit of celebration, he enjoined Nigerians to remember and pray for TB patients dead or alive.
