The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has announced the release of intervention funds to support primary schools in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Olusegun, who made the announcement as part of his birthday celebrations, said the initiative was launched in honour of his late mother, a lifelong teacher, and to reaffirm his belief that education remains the fastest way out of poverty.
He explained that the intervention is in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes human capital development as a foundation for national growth.
According to him, the funds will address specific needs identified by schools in Ikorodu, with the following allocations;
Temidire Primary School, Ikorodu: Procurement of 50 school chairs and tables for selected classes.
Holy Trinity Primary School, Ikorodu: Procurement of 50 pairs of school chairs and desks.
Anglican Primary School, Ikorodu: Rehabilitation of the borehole and procurement of a generating set.
Ijomu Primary School, Ikorodu: Rehabilitation of the borehole and procurement of a generating set.
“These interventions are a modest step towards creating classrooms where children can learn in comfort, and teachers can work effectively,” Olusegun stated.
He also commended Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Jimi Benson, for his leadership and support, describing him as an inspiration for grassroots development.
“Education is the cornerstone of a strong society, and by supporting our schools, we invest directly in the future of Ikorodu, Lagos, and Nigeria as a whole,” Olusegun added.
