Popular Nigerian Actor, Dejumo Lewis Dies At 80

Veteran Nigerian actor, Dejumo Lewis is dead.

The iconic thespian who is famous for his role as Kabiesi in the 60s to 80s series, The Village Headmaster was announced dead earlier today.

The announcement was made in his New Lagos Surulere home earlier today.

Born in 1943 in Lagos State, Nigeria, the deceased studied at the junior seminary for 10 years before pursuing a career in acting.

During his time, the icon worked as a producer, director, dramatist, film maker, and communications consultant.

Lewis was a respected and influential figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, and he appeared in several other films and TV shows, such as Agogo Eewo.

He was not just an actor, he was also known for his philanthropic and humanitarian activities.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren.
