Popular Actress and Producer Allwell Ademola Dies at 43

The Nigerian film industry is in mourning following the death of Nollywood actress, producer, and director Allwell Ademola, who passed away on Saturday, December 27, at the age of 43.

Born Princess Allwell Farayola Apeke Eniobanke Ademola on August 9, 1982, Allwell Ademola carved a distinguished career in both Yoruba and English-language Nollywood films. She began acting professionally around 2008 with the film Láròdá òjò and went on to feature in over 30 films, including notable works such as Ile Wa (2018) and False Flag (2017), which she also produced and directed.

Beyond acting, Allwell Ademola was recognized as a film producer, director, and mentor to upcoming talents. Her contributions to the industry earned her multiple accolades, including Best Movie Producer, Best Movie Director, and Best Supporting Actress in Yoruba film categories. She also explored her talents in music, occasionally performing and releasing songs.

Ademola’s personal life, marked by resilience, was well-known to her fans. She had tragically lost her fiancé in 2005, an event she later shared, shaped her outlook on relationships. Known for her playful personality, she often joked about celebrating her 35th birthday repeatedly, a light hearted trait beloved by her fan base and colleagues alike.
