Police Operatives deployed to the third mainland bridge, Friday, foiled a suicide attempt by one Adeyinka Abiodun, 45.

Adeyinka, who resides in the Ikotun axis of Lagos, had in March procured a loan of N390, 000, with monthly repayment plan for six months and accrued an interest of N142, 287 from a micro finance bank on the Lagos Island.

Blackbox Nigeria gathered that Adeyinka, the father of two and a degree holder in Physics as well a master holder in business administration, collected the loan with intent to upgrade his wine retail business, as he unfortunately lost the money after his business failed.
Just as the 45-year-old received another shot at life, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, re-payed the loan.

The Lagos state Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, enjoined Lagosians to explore other means of addressing life challenges other than committing suicide.
