The Rapid Response Squad unit of the Lagos State Police Command have rescued two abandoned children at the Marina area of the state.
This was made known in a statement posted on the operatives official Twitter handle saying the children were rescued on Thursday at exactly 6:00pm.
The children who were identified to be five-year-old Chidara and three-year-old Shonton Chukwu respectively.
“Our patrol team at Marina saw two underage boys on the expressway about to be run over by speeding vehicles.
βThe boys disclosed that their mother boarded a car and left them,β the command wrote.
The RRS added that the children had been taken to the Adeniji-Adele Police Division to be reunited with their parents.
