The Black Stars of Ghana were knocked out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after suffering a huge defeat to Uruguay.
Ghana have appeared in the finals of the World Cup on four occasions, in 2006, 2010, quarter-finals in 2014 and group stage in 2022.
Ghana themselves could also have reached the knockout rounds if Ayew penalty was converted if only the two late chances were successful.
Recall that Ghana had earned their spot at the World Cup in Qatar. They battled Nigeria to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their play-off and lone goal in Nigeria came at the 10 minute mark from Thomas Partey which sent them to the qualifying rounds of the World cup.
