Police operatives attached to the Head Bridge Division on Monday arrested four members of a robbery syndicate, who specializes in hijacking trucks loaded with cements. Blackboxnigeria gathered.
The police operatives, in conjunction with special anti-robbery squad, made the arrest in response to a call that a Howo truck, with registration number AAA 715 YA loaded with 900 bags of cement and belonging to BUA cement company Okpelle, had been snatched at Uromi village, Edo state.
The suspects, after allegedly inflicting deep macheted cuts on driver, diverted the truck towards Anambra state.
The suspects are; Anayo Ulugha, 26, Omoke Chigozie, 28, and Joseph Agu, 24.
The suspects, while confessing to the crime, led police operatives to Orlu, Imo state, where their gang leader, one Chinonso Onuigbo, 44, was arrested.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects includes; the snatched truck, 900 bags of cements and a machete.
