Police arrests 3 brothers over kidnap, death of 55-year-old woman in Abuja

The Nigerian Police have arrested three suspects for the kidnap and death of one Mrs. Janet Nnenna

The suspects; Johnson Emmanuel, 38, Gideon Emmanuel, 31, and Success Emmanuel, 27, all natives of Isiekenesi, Ideato LGA, Imo state, were arrested by the police in their hometown, where they took refuge after committing the crime in Abuja.

The trio were arrested following the complaint laid by Chinedu Ogbonnaya, the son of the deceased.

Chinedu alleged that his mother had been kidnapped by the trio, who demanded a ransom of N5,000, 000.

Meanwhile, investigations by the police reveal that the victim had long be killed and buried.

The Nigerian Police, after further investigations gathered that the victim was lured by a Facebook friend of the principal suspect-Johnson Emmanuel.

The suspect, thereafter taking advantage of the visit, served the victim Yogurt, laced with drugs and subsequently had her murdered .

After burying the victim in a septic tank, Johnson, using the victim’s phone, contacted her family members, demanding the sum of N5m for her freedom.

A Toyota Highlander Jeep belonging to the deceased was recovered after the trio led men of the Nigerian Police to where the body of the deceased was concealed.
