Police arrest dismissed soldier, one other, whilst transporting hard drugs

The Lagos State Police, Wednesday, arrested a dismissed soldier and his accomplice for adding a drug baron specialized in smuggling Indian hemp and hard drugs in Lagos.

Blackboxnigeria learnt that the suspect, a dismissed soldier, identified as Okoliko Andrew, and his partner, Idowu Adebayo, were intercepted whilst conveying 24 bags of 1, 200kg of substances suspected to be Indian hemp.

The duo, while en-route to Sura market, Lagos Island, contravened traffic law, by plying the BRT lane around Itowolo.

Police operative attached to the State Task Force, upon interrogating the suspects, found out they were smuggling hard drugs, while parading themselves as Uniformed men.

While confessing to the crime, the suspects, stated that they were to deliver the bags of Indian hemp to someone at Lagos Island for a price of N50,000 each.

Two vehicles; Toyota Corolla, registration number CE APP 903FR and a Peugeot 307 with registration number CB 686 ABJ were recovered from the suspects as exhibits, along side the transported substances.
