The good people of Jos are still celebrating, as their team Plateau United on Saturday defeated seven time Nigeria professional football League Champions, Enugu Rangers 2 – 0 to land their first ever NPFL title.
The Coach Kennedy Boboye led side becomes the 19th team to win the Nigeria league since the league format was introduced in 1972. Incidentally, a Jos side, Mighty Jet won the first ever Nigeria league.
The peace boys will pocket 50 million Naira as a result of their consistency over the course of the season that later won them the keenly contested league title.
Head coach of runner up MFM FC of Lagos, Fidelis Ilechukwu was quick to congratulate the champions as he sent a direct message to Jos.
