By Oghara Kingdom of Delta State was agog yesterday as James Ibori paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of the town, The Ovie after he was deported back to Nigeria on completion of his jail term in the United Kingdom.
The mammoth crowd that welcomed the former Governor of the State were openly less concern about the atrocities of Ibori, who also holds a traditional title in the kingdom.
An unconfirmed report earlier has led it yesterday that Ibori, who arrived Nigeria aboard a British Airways aircraft met none of his supporters at the airport as the trip was not planned by either himself nor his aides.
It was reported that the operatives of the Department of State Service picked him up immediately he landed and took him for questioning. He was however released to some of his friends later before he left for Delta State.
