In its continuous effort at reducing hunger, the Lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Chairman House of Reps Committee on Defense, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has through his iCare Foundation distributed hundreds of food bags, popularly known as ‘Apo Aanu’ to indigent members of his Constituency.
The food distribution programme which took place at the lawmaker Constituency office on February 5, 2023 has been on for over 6 years having been initiated on October 16, 2016. The food project has so far fed over 37,000 residents.
The beneficiaries who were obviously elated to have been nominated through a multipronged process involving Community Development Committee, Community Development Associations, traditional institutions, Student bodies, religious organizations and social groups appreciated Rep. Benson for sustaining the initiative and bringing smiles to many homes.
