Residents of Ajegunle Bus-Stop, Alagbado on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, have been forced to count their losses after a petrol-laden tanker crashed and exploded in the area.
BlackBox Nigeria had reported that the inferno occured at around 3am on Friday, destroying several houses and shops.
It was also gathered that some residents tried to scoop fuel from the tanker which further caused the fire to be more intense.
The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report. However, officials of the Lagos State Fire Service are said to be currently at the scene to put out the fire from causing further damages.
A source told our correspondent that men of the Nigerian Police Force as well as the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have also arrived the area.
