PHOTOS: Late female helicopter combat pilot, Tolu Arotile, laid to rest in Abuja

The late Nigerian first female helicopter combat pilot, Tolulope Arotile, was on Thursday laid to rest at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja.

She was buried in full Military Honour, and in strict compliance with COVID-19 guidelines.

The burial was restricted to a few guests, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In attendance were her friends, family members, colleagues, as well as Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, who reportedly failed to wear nose mask.

Others are the Ministers of: Women Affairs, Paulen Tallen, Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq, Defence, Mansur Dan Ali and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar

Also, the Senate on Thursday observed a minute of silence in her honour.

The Red Chamber equally asked the Airforce to erect a monument in her honour.
