The founder of PEPC Foundation, Barr. Luqman Akinsanya has been honoured as the ‘Young Person of the Year’ at the second edition of the Lagos Youth Awards held on Friday, December 23, 2022.
Through his non-profit organization, Akinsanya has donated food packs, school items and other necessities to over 10,000 people across different communities in Lagos.
In clinching the ultimate prize, Akinsanya was able to ward off opposition from the other nominees such as Seyi Tinubu (Loatsad PromoMedia, The Noella Foundation), Tunde Onakoya (Chess in Slums Africa), and Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi (Founder, Stand To End Rape).
Speaking at the award ceremony themed “The Disruptors”, Akinsanya thanked the organisers of the Lagos Youth Awards for the recognition.
Recall at the maiden edition of the prestigious awards held last December, Founder of Real Acts of Kindness (RAK) Foundation, Mobolaji Ogunlende (now the Special Adviser to the Lagos State governor on Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations) was named ‘Young Person of the Year’.
