Pellaman Breaks Into Nigeria’s Music Scene With “Feeling Good”

Budding music star, Pellaman, has released a track titled ‘Feeling Good’ which marks his entry into professional music.

The song talks about a self-confident young man (himself) who is interested in making money, and having fun, regardless of detractions he faces.

Born Adebowale Olasunkanmi Ololade, the 19-year-old said he loves listening to sounds such as drums, keyboard, and guitar.

According to the Afro-pop star, he began to make proper music during last year’s lockdown where he spent most of his time in the studio. Inspired by the love and support he got for his sound, he released his first song, “Marry Juana”, which he described as a “street vibe.”

Speaking about how he came about the name, Pellaman, he said: “I just thought of a name that would call people’s attention to my music. So I choose Pellaman which was inspired by the popular Professor Peller family. People love them, so I guess I want to tap from the glory.”

Pellaman stated that he is inspired by the likes of Shina Peters, Obesere and Naira Marley for their “street vibes”.

The teenager, who seeks to pursue his education further, said he’s optimistic about making a name for himself in the Nigerian music scene. “My ambition is to see myself bigger in the next few years in the industry,” he said.
