Reports reaching BBN at this moment confirms that a factional National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Ali-Modu Sheriff and former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo are in a closed door meeting at the hiltop mansion in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The controversial PDP leader who arrived Obasanjo’s residence at 11:04 in a convoy of four SUVs, went straight to Obasanjo’s inner room for a closed door meeting which lasted for one hour.
The security operatives attached to Obasanjo’s residence allowed only the SUV that had Sheriff into the premises while other vehicles were denied access inside.
Sherif and National Chairman caretaker committee Senator Ahmed Makarfi have been at loggerheads on the leadership tussle of the party.
Rumour has it that Sheriff’s visit may be in connection with the lingering crisis which many have suggested it may lead to the party loose it’s coming elections.
