By The Redeemed Christian Church of God Nigeria today announced a new structure in its hierachy as it erases the position of General Overseer following the resignation of most respected Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. The new highest position in the new structure is the Overseer.
According to an internal memo sent to all parishes, the new structure was in line with the regulations stated for all registered Religious Organisations and Civil Societies in Nigeria.
The new structure now has three main heads; the Overseer, the General Secretary and a Treasurer.
The memo also named the new Executives who will now oversee the activities of the Nigerian arm of the church.
Pastor Joseph Obayemi, the former General Overseer (Finance) will now assume the office of the Overseer, Pastor Funsho Odesola former Assistant General Overseer (Admin) is the new General Secretary, while Pastor Joseph Adeyokunnu the former Financial Controller will now take over the office of the Treasurer of the church.
The memo which was signed by Pastor J.F Odesola noted that the new structure has no effect on Pastor Adeboye as he remains the Spiritual Leader and Global Missioner of the RCCG.
