By The annual Festival of the Osun Osogbo groove is set to kick off tomorrow, Monday 8th of August with a program named Iwopopo.
In a statement signed by Mrs Olajumoke Bello, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Information, Home Affairs, Tourism and Culture confirmed that the State’s most sought after festival will begin tomorrow with laid down activities.
In the statement, the Governor enjoined the worshippers and all the State indigens to be accommodating and be careful as they welcome visitors who will come to witness the festivities.
Osun Osogbo is a week long festival which is the practice of the Osun worshippers. It is well recognized by the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture, UNESCO and usually have in attendance tourists from far and wide who come to enjoy.the colorful display of cultural heritage that the festival portrays.
