The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has joined his ancestors.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the 93-year-old monarch passed away in the early hours of Sunday, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Details about the cause of his death are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
Born on August 26, 1928 as the first of 17 children of his parents, Oba Adetunji ascended the throne of his forefathers on March 4, 2016, becoming the 41st Olubadan of Ibadan.
Adetunji was crowned Olubadan after the demise of Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade. Prior to his coronation as monarch, he was the Balogun of Ibadan land.
