Olajide Sowore’s Killers Abducted 5 Persons, Says Edo Police

In a related development to the murder of Olajide Sowore, brother of human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, the Edo State Police Command has said the culprits abducted five persons.

Recall BlackBox Nigeria reported that the SaharaReporters Publisher broke the news of the death of Felix Olajide, his immediate younger brother, in a Facebook post on Saturday morning. He said the law will catch up with his sibling’s killers.

Confirming the tragic incident, Edo State Police Spokesman, Bello Kontongs, said the deceased was shot by suspected kidnappers.

 

He said the late Olajide was killed at Isuwa community along Lagos- Benin expressway at about 6:45am. His assailants also abducted five persons travelling alongside the deceased in the process.

Kontongs added that the victim’s corpse has been deposited at the Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital, Okada, saying efforts are underway to rescue the five kidnapped persons.
